COUNTRY MUSIC ACADEMY: Nominates CoMo radio station for top award

COLUMBIA, 2/6/11  (Beat Byte) --  The only Missouri radio station so honored, Columbia's KCLR-FM has been nominated for the 46th annual Academy of Country Music Awards (CMA), which will be broadcast live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas Sunday, April 3, 2011 at 8:00 PM ET on CBS.

Nominated in the RADIO STATION OF THE YEAR - SMALL MARKET category, KCLR, aka Clear 99, is part of the Zimmer Radio Group which includes Y107 and The Eagle, 93.9 FM.   The station joins 19 other nominees in four categories: major, large, medium, and small markets.  

 

Also nominated in the Personality of the Year category:  KCLR's Scotty and Carissa.

 
In the small market category, the other nominees include KCTR-FM, Billings, MT;  KUAD-FM in Windsor, CO; WFRE-FM in Fredrick, MD; and WYCT-FM in Pensacola, FL.
