Church Horse Show back this month

COLUMBIA, 5/3/13 (Beat Byte) -- After a two-year hiatus, one of Columbia's top charity events returns in late May.  In 19 years, the Calvary Episcopal Church Charity Horse Show has donated over $250,000 to various charitable and service groups.

The money has provided search and rescue dogs; kitchen appliances for food banks; facilities to animal rescue groups; and financial assistance to the Cedar Creek Therapeutic Riding Center and Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), among others.

This year, profits from the show will benefit Doctors without Borders; the Central and Northeast Missouri Food Banks; and the Family Health Center dental clinic.

The Missouri Horse Show Association recognizes the charity event, an equestrian's delight that will feature American Saddlebreds, Hackney Ponies, Arabians, Morgans, and Quarter Horses.

The 20th Anniversary show is scheduled for May 30 to June 1 at the Central Missouri Events Center, aka Boone County Fairgrounds.
